This is kindda hasty, i know.
Even I was shocked when this first came to me.
But i think, i'm getting older, and by the end of my medic degree.
It'll be kind of late to start thinking about looking for a wife.
I've decided to leave everything to my mum,
i.e. it's gonna be a matchmaking wedding.
The engagement ceremony is planned to take place
in the same week as the wedding itself.
Gulp.

Something Newcastle-ish (Act 2)

God, today I really had fetish for vintage thingy. In case you're wondering, NO, this has got nothing to do with human organ or animal sex.

I'm actually eyeing vintage pictures of Newcastle, where I now live and study.

The modern city rooted back in 18th century.

Fetish #1: Tram along Northumberland Street.

Tram's so sexy ppl even write stories about it like A Tram Named Desire.

Fetish#2: 1940s Fashion

Everything is about trench coat, vest, fedora hat, suspender and watch chain.

If you live in that era, everybody adheres to the same dress codes, maybe same colours as well. They all look classy and smart top to toe.

When i say everybody, i mean semua. see..Semua pon pakai coats and hats tepi River Tyne. Ala2 semua pakai baju melayu ngan songkok kat tepi Sungai Melaka. *tetiba*

Even the newsboy pon dressed to the nines. Tgk socks dia, I die.

Fyi, Newcastle University is the trading name of the uni. Kalau nak grand dan nak cukup rasa, use University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Yeah, British mmg suka tribute sungai dlm nama tempat.

Every Thanksgiving Day, the medical/dental school organizes a remembrance ceremony for people who donated their bodies out of the kindness of their hearts for academic purposes.

Helmi and I attended the ceremony last year.

Also, last year Zaff and I saw a girl,no no a bitch in her 20s pissed at the church wall.

Gila babi uneducated.

Kurus vs Gemuk???

Korang mesti pernah kurus, mesti juga pernah gemuk.
Okay okay, for the sake of political correctness,
Lemme rephrase the sentence.

“korang mesti pernah either kurus, or gemuk, or bagi yang bernasib baik tu… Dua-dua pun penah!”

Dan diriku ini termasuk dalam golongan yang bernasib baik.
Amat... amat... amat... bernasib baik sebenarnya. Why?

I’m more gemuk than kurus throughout the year.
Terutama masa winter. Not obese-gemuk, tapi buncit-gemuk.
Perut yang menunggu masa untuk malatop.

And just yesterday, Zaff made a statement,
Dengan penuh yakin dan berani:

“Tyra Banks is fat!”

And yup, I concur. Tyra memang gemuk.
Takkan kalo dah kembang semangkuk, nak panggil kurus melidi jugak kan.
Tapi it doesn’t mean yg Tyra tak cantik.
Dia masih Fierce! And very2 voluptuous.

Jugak, for me. Badan cantik isn’t always equivalent to badan berketul-ketul.
Baik berketul 8 (6 on the abs, 2 on the chest) atau berketul tiga (2 on the chest, and one big lump of ketulan on the tummy).
Cabooot!

Badan yg cantik = badan model2 lelaki kat runway. Kurus sedang2, and the fat composition is reasonably low.

Di ingatkan:

1. to me kalo kurus yg tahap berdiri di tiup angin pun, terbang melayang - Itu tak cantik.
2. kalau korang "gebu" dan pengamal diet lima McD's Double Cheese Burger setiap hari, dan sambil-sambil menonton tv korang akan mengorek lubang pusat- Itu tak cantik.
3. kalau korang tak termasuk dalam my personal definition of cantik, tapi masih happy dan yakin bahawa korang punye berat tak akan mengundang health problem - Itu Cantik!

Jadi rakan-rakan, marilah kita bersama mencapai BMI yg ideal. Jom, Gym!
By that, I mean gymnasium, bukan gymrama yer kawan-kawan.

Review: The NutCracker Ballet

Quite some times ago, Zamri made an entry about The Nutcracker ballet!
And today, kitorang pergi tengok that ballet!
it was FAB!

*side story*
I'm not that familiar with the nutcracker tale,
but i did I watch it a few years back. on TiVo!
(pstt, it was Barbie! In the Nutcracker).
Yup, hear me people! I watched the stupid 3D barbie movie! G.R.I.M!!
I wanted to watch it again yesterday, to recall the storyline.
But i chickened out.
It is menakutkan i tell you.
Even worse than SAW V!!! Yeouch!
*chills running down my spine* grrrrr...

Anyway, back to the performance.

I thought the show was splendid!
Being a first-time ballet audience,I know nothing about ballet, about all the spinning movements, about the gestures, and also, about the kaki terkangkang yang in my humblest opinion, will crush your balls if you aren't careful enough.

Helmi: Replied with a mere but biiiiiiiiigg grin. haha

And the best part of all. The rats were sooooo G-A-Y! Like gay-gay. (and no, i ain't no homophobes, also, no! That wasn't the echo of the Mount Brokeback either)

That's how we spent our Friday night. When we got back, it was pleasantly snowing.
Not the shit snow, but the good snow.
The one that gives you the romantic-movie kind of felling.

A Hectic Patient Visit Day

Oh,
Semalam tidur lewat. Apakah? Rujuk sini.
Sibuk menyediakan bahan-bahan, sebagai preparasi sebelum patient visit.
Bagi yang tak tahu (ada ke yg tahu???), patient visit tu, adalah assignment
yg memerlukan kitorang tulis report pasal pesakit, and how they cope with
their condition.

And lepas bertukus-lumus dan gigih berusaha tadi. Siap gak list-list soklan yg nk ditanya patient harini! *tepuk beramai ramai*

Macam biasa, sebelum mengangkat kaki menuju ke kelas, I'd check up my friends' blogs.
And tertarik kat Dzeti's tagging!
then teringat yg Syam pun pernah tag, tapi x sempat nk buat.

Penelope - It's more than just a bad nose job!

Yesterday, we had our usual midnight movie time. And since last week, our midnight movie theme seems to have shifted from thriller and horror films, to somewhat magical, inspirational and true-but-we're-not-admitting chick flicks! lol. Okay, all craps asides!

Christina Ricci: Okey apa hidung menawan kalbu macam ni... At least, kalau ada orang kentut, terus je aku boleh detect! Hypersensitive Olfactory receptor katanya~

Disebabkan mandat untuk menentukan movie yg nk di tengok ada kat bahuku,
(well, nothing big actually. A premium rapidshare account did the trick!)
We ended up watching Penelope!

Penelope:
Kisah seekor babi yang pandai bercakap, eh silap silap.. kisah seorang perempuan yang muka cam babi! literally! She had snort i mean, snout... and that 'pig-ear' thing on her. Played by Christina Ricci! And she has to somehow, get married to a blue blooded aka rich guy to break the curse, and return to her true form/self. That's what she thought, and that's what they all thought *hint hint*. It takes more than just that to break the curse babe! For some stupid reason, hati nurani ini mengharapkan kemunculan anti klimaks ke atas skrip, yakni instead of turning into a person... Penelope turns into a swine/pig. Apakah??? tak tahu~

Overall, this is quite an watchable & enjoyable movie. The inspiring storyline, yang dicampur dengan curse and magic and fairy tail theme... I think the kids will love it. And the hunky actors will definitely appeal the girls! (Reese Witherspoon was one of the many reasons why i watch this film, he he. Comel giler kot dier tuh).

A thing that people would less likely mourn about...

Yesterday, i've got a very exciting news. My adik got 5A in her UPSR.

Well Done!

I do think that she deserved what she's got, and that she's been working her arse off for this one.

Baby (yup, that's what we call her at home - our bubbly little sister).. nanti abang belanja k.

My youngest sister! There's not-so-much resemblance between us. Lmao

And i just found out that she's been blogging, quite extensively for someone her age. Her blog subject? Kucing! Yang kitorang bela kat rumah.

Kiko & Bejot (can't tell which one is which in the picture). They're siblings, who happens to enjoy incestual homosexcapades. Pelik tapi benar!

The ever garang Zatt, who will pick fight with any other cats he sees, except for Sitam.

Sitam aka si Hitam. Yg gaya tidur sungguh buruk dan huduh mengalahkan mentadak

Also, something very very interesting is going to happen soon. Mr. Zam is very excited about it *wink wink*. And as i've promised him that i'll seal my lips until the day come. I can't tell.

And who says i'm not good with keeping secrets huh?

Oh ya. Just yesterday, my slightly torn puma sling bag.... was broken.. Even worse. Macam menunggu ajal je. The metal connecting the bag with its strap, kindda snapped. So i have to resolve for handles (it comes with handles) and it turns into a tote. Blimey! My basic life support (read: the handles) was able to give it another few years (hopefully) of life span.

RIP: To the strap on the right! And O hail mister puma-bag-handles!

Today, was a very busy day. Apakah motiff??
Mungkinkah faktor "Essay-Zamri-Yang-Tinggal-Nak-Print" memangkinkan sifat rajin... Bolehlaa~ Motivasi dalaman yang lahir secara ikhlas dari hati nurani - bak Dr. Fadzilah Kamsah setelah di exaggerate.

Then, lepas membaca 3 very long articles about multiple sclerosis (preparasi sebelum menulis essay), terus terbuka youtube. Of course..

You + tube = weapon of mass DISTRACTION!

And when i'm done youtubing, Zamri was already not in the mood to proceed with his essay. Plus, the fact that me, him, and Zaff haven't have our weekly midnight movie dose membawa kami kepada...

Me:
1. I'm rather busy with my patient study, revision, and SSC essay (jawapan men-sedapkan hati)
2. Malas... malas... dan malas nk travel jauh2 naik bas (jawapan ala-ala ikhlas tapi jauh)

Me: Mentadak mentadu... Camne Helmi tidur?
Mentadak: Takde la sesopan ni... Bajeetttt!!

like duhh~ Mustahil la jawapan yg sangat idealistik tu jadik kenyataan kan. In the end, what i did today were:

a) Did some revision on ERT (ekonomi Rumah tangga) subject, as i tried to sew my torn bedroom slippers...

Gigih! Sebab kedekut nak beli baru punya pasal.

Today, i got my Ben Sherman Loafers! he he. Excited giler beb! I mean, kasut itu sangat cantik dan menawan kalbu, and being a lucky fella. I bid it for less than 10 pound from eBay. Of course la, bila sampai. Memang terus campak my topman shoes, and immediately try my new loafers.

Funky loafers! Love it..love it... Histeria dan terus pengsan!

Then. tratatatatat (drum roll effect), jeng...jeng...jeng...

I spotted some 3dotted lining on the inside of the loafers. haiyooo maaa~
Nahiiiii (i think that means noooo! in Indian).
p.s. kepada sesapa yg masih tak paham, the shoes has a kulit-babi stuck on it!

Helmi is BORED.. I mean, seriously...

Harini, bosan giler. Seperti biasa, diriku di cengkam kuasa kemalasan tahap gaban. Mujurlah harituh, ada print voucher millie's cookies (read: produk cookies yg sangat sedap bin menggemukkan, bin tak sihat). So, i went to the Eldon Square, to buy a millie's cookies treat box.

Millie's Cookies Voucher. Print and bring it to your nearest outlet. Ehem.. I can not bear the responsibility if anyone became obese due to the overconsumption of this heavenly cookies. lol.

P.s.- Jangan tak tahu.... Normally, it's 6quids per box, but with the voucher. I managed to get 2 boxes at the price of one. So, lepas memujuk rayu dan mencucuk jarum so that Yuen Han pun beli, I managed to get myself an accomplice. Kitorang share duit, 3 hengget UK sorang. Well, at least, he did make me feel less guilty for buying such luxurious cookies, yang pada hemat tok guru di belakang rumah - is a very potent diabetis inducer.

Lepas beli cookies, pergi lecture "Public Health intervention", and apparently. being the usual me. Memang la tak boleh concentrate kat lecture. Kepala otak, melayang-layang. And tangan, memang gatal dan meronta-ronta untuk melempiaskan nafsu serakah, minta mengisi kertas nota yg masih sangat suci dan dara - then apa lagi. Habis laa.. lecture handout jadi painting canvas. The best part is, it's infectious. The next thing i know, Yuen Han was drawing some mickey mouse on his note, and i was looking at my watch for the 20th time, x sabar nk balik.
